A.J. Dillon
Running back A.J. Dillon of the Packers has received an apology from the Green Bay police for how they handled him during a soccer match in July.
During a rain delay in the match between FC Bayern and Manchester City, Dillon attempted to perform a Lambeau Leap when he was shoved by a police officer on the sidelines.
Chris Davis, the police chief, was quoted as saying, "I have sustained two claims of GBPD policy violations by the concerned officer and requested appropriate corrective action to be done." "Out of respect for the employee's right to due process, we do not offer further information on personnel concerns."
The police agency has apologised to Dillon, regardless of the effects on the employee
I'm sorry for how Mr Dillon was handled, Davis continued. "The Green Bay Police Department remains committed to working with the Packers organisation and the whole Green Bay community to deliver the finest and most professional police service possible. We value the great relationship we have with the Packers organisation."
Lambeau Field events
The Packers acknowledged the apologies from the police department in a statement released on Friday, according to Demovsky.
The conversation that took place at the soccer game on July 23 at Lambeau Field was followed up on, which the Packers appreciated. "We admire their method for analysing the situation and their findings. We respect our collaboration with the Department and are grateful for everything they do to support the Packers in ensuring everyone's safety at Lambeau Field events, including games. We also value AJ Dillon's professionalism in managing the situation.
The fact that Dillon seemed to be unconcerned about the situation suggests that it is now over. Thus, the thing that we didn't even realise was still a thing that has come to an end.
