Heisman Cup winner Bryce Young
Alabama is back at the top of the college football world, at least for now.
The Associated Press published its preseason college football rankings Monday, with the school with 54 votes in the first place.
Heisman Cup winner Bryce Young is back with Alabama. The team also got two crucial transfers in wide receivers, Jermaine Burton and Tyler Harrell. Linebacker Will Anderson and safety Jordan Battle are also back on defence.

It marks the sixth time in Nick Saban's reign that Alabama has started the season as the No. 1 seed. Alabama started the season No. 1 last but finished the year with two losses, including the college football championship against Georgia.

Ohio State finished last season 11-2 but began the season against No. 5 Notre Dame on September 3. While attacking Garrett Wilson and Chris Olaf, they lost to the pros. CJ Stroud and Jackson Smith-Nigeba returned on the attack.
