knee against the Broncos
Three days after tearing a quadriceps tendon and injuring his knee against the Broncos, Seahawks safety Jamal Adams was placed on injured reserve on Thursday. He'll miss a minimum of four games as a result.
Although the Seahawks haven't officially stated it, Adams is anticipated to miss the remainder of the campaign.
According to Gregg Bell of The News Tribune, Adams still receives numerous medical assessments and opinions.
But Adams' colleagues seem to have concluded that they won't be playing with the Pro Bowler this year.
"Shout out to Jamal Adams," quarterback Geno Smith exclaimed as he left his Thursday media appearance. I'm hoping for a quick recovery. Require your return.
Adams missed four games in 2020
Adams missed four games in 2020 and five in 2021 due to shoulder and finger surgery over the previous two seasons. The Seahawks acquired him in 2020 in exchange for two Jets first-round picks, and they gave him a new contract worth $70 million that is valid through the 2025 season.
Adams was replaced on the roster by Teez Tabor, a cornerback who was signed off of the practice squad of the Falcons.
DK Metcalf
Receiver DK Metcalf said of Adams, "I know just going into halftime seeing him down, and he hurt us as a team." "You just have to pray for him and up that his mind is good, overall, because for a man like that who's battled injuries in the past, for another injury to come back up, you just have to pray for him."
He has higher plans for himself beyond this season, as I informed him. As he has done with everything else, he will triumph over this. And he will emerge from this experience stronger than before, and he will share his story of challenges in the future to support someone else who could be going through a similar situation in their work.
