Wests Tigers legend Benji Marshall
The club announced Thursday that Marshall has agreed to a five-year deal to be the Tigers' head coach. The first two will be assistants, and the last three as the leading man.
The retired playmaker will work with Tim Sheens, who is confirmed as the new head coach following the firing of Michael Maguire midway through the season. Club great-mate Robbie Farah will also join the coaching staff.

Premiership, led by Sheens, coached the club in 2005; Tigers stunned the NRL to win.
Two hundred fifty-seven of his 346 NRL games played Marshall in the strip of black and orange, the West Sydney joint venture. He also played for the New Zealand rugby union for the Dragons, Broncos, and Rabbitohs.
It's the grand final loss to South Sydney.
The Tigers had not appeared in the NRL finals since 2011, when Sheens was still in charge, and have had four head coaches since then.

Maguire was the latest casualty, sensationally shown the door in June, strangely eight months after the club's hierarchy had had the opportunity to eliminate him in the postseason and opted not to.
