Linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. was placed on injured
Linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. was placed on injured reserve by the Browns on Friday, according to the team.
Walker needs surgery for a torn quadriceps muscle, which will keep him out of the season.
Walker, who was chosen as the team captain this year, started each game. He made seven total tackles, four of which were for a loss, and two passes were stopped.
2017 NFL Draft
Walker played nine games for the Browns last season after initially agreeing to a one-year contract in March 2021. In March, he re-signed with Cleveland for a year.
Walker was taken by the Colts in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, and he played his first four seasons there.
