In the more than two weeks he has been removed from wrist surgery, Bryson DeChambeau continues to improve.
Post-surgery on April 14 to fix the broken hamate bone in his left wrist, DeChambeau announced on Friday night that he'd be playing golf in addition to being on his team.
DeChambeau was injured while playing ping-pong at Saudi International in February. He withdrew after the first round of the event and did not return until WGC-Dell Match Play at the end of March. He failed to get out of the pool game in Austin and then dropped it off at the Masters, where he missed out before deciding on surgery.
"I have been trying to play with these injuries in the last three cases, including the Masters, but these are usually injuries that require surgical treatment," DeChambeau said. "By continuing to suffer from fractures, I have to change my grip and swing, which has resulted in me not being able to compete at the highest level of golf. This was not easy for me physically and mentally."
Last week, DeChambeau hosted a donation ceremony in the Bahamas, where he was filmed with a shotgun fired with one hand and a right hand.
