No one is more eager than CeeDee Lamb to see Michael Gallup again.
Even owner Jerry Jones has criticised Lamb for not performing to the level of a No. 1 receiver. He hasn't caught a touchdown pass this year; the Cowboys have only had one as a team. Noah Brown now leads the team in both catches and yards.
Lamb should benefit from Gallup's comeback, which might occur Monday night.
According to Lamb, "We've included him in a bunch more competitive [practise] periods," according to Patrik Walker of the official website on Friday. "It's encouraging to see him competing once more. He had been longing to return to the field. It seems right just to have him back in the offence. I'm glad for him and it feels normal.
"[He] creates anticipation. MG is a fantastic coworker. He's going to give you a lot of passion and will be dependable and reliable whenever we need him to come up. There, he has been. In the room, there is growing energy, and I am eager for what is to come.
For a total of 104 yards, Lamb has caught nine of 22 targets.
As their No. 2 receiver, the Cowboys did not want to pay Amari Cooper $20 million this season, so they sold him to Cleveland in exchange for a fifth-round draught pick. In the win over the Steelers on Thursday night, Cooper had seven receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown. In three games, he has 19 grabs for 219 yards and two touchdowns.
