Since acquiring the Rams, receiver Allen Robinson has expressed his view that playing under head coach Sean McVay will help him meet his maximum potential.
One of Robinson's fellow friends is eager to see what he can achieve once the season begins.
Cooper Kupp remarked in his Monday press conference, "Working with A-Rob has been fantastic." "It's his cerebral aptitude for what he can already grasp." Just conversing with him about how he sees the game has been a lot of fun.
Kupp, the AP offensive player of the year in 2021, told reporters he’s studied Robinson’s film for years, calling him one of the best competitive-catch players in the league.
"I guess the thing about A-video Rob's is that he's a lot bigger than people assume." Kupp characterized him as "a huge person that can do a lot of things that smaller receivers can do." "I'm looking forward to getting someone like him, who can do those things, who can be a big body, tremendous target."
Robinson's desire to study the minutiae and nuances of the Los Angeles playbook has amazed Kupp since Robinson came on board.
He has amazing football skills. "But his willingness to sacrifice in the time to learn this thing," Kupp added, "because he wants to understand the offense, not just know it."There's a distinction made between knowing what to do and knowing how to accomplish it. And he wants to know how to accomplish it quickly and effectively. As a consequence, I'm incredibly thankful."
Robinson recorded 38 catches for 410 yards and one touchdown in 12 games last season, down from 102 catches for 1,250 yards and six touchdowns in 2020. In his first season with the Warriors, those statistics should skyrocket.
