Steph Curry has made history again. He has done it because he has failed to hit a 3-pointer in a playoff game for the first time in his entire career. One hundred thirty-three consecutive games with at least one shot from the perimeter that ended last night at the Chase Center.
A streak began on April 20, 2013, and has seen its endpoint today against the Boston Celtics, more than nine years after it began.
Curry tried every possible way, but the ball wouldn't go in. He finished 0/9 on 3s, scoring just 16 points and shooting under 33% from the field. He did not care because his Warriors took the conquest, anyway.
It was not the only streak that was cut short. Steph had 233 straight games scoring at least one 3-pointer if you also count regular-season games. The triple king failed to put it through the hoop.
His nine misses are the third-worst mark for the Warriors point guard without scoring a single hit in his entire career. All after the exhibition a few days ago at the TD Garden and after having chained four consecutive games scoring at least five triples.
