Justin Jefferson of Minnesota doesn't think he's earned the right to refer to himself as the best wide receiver in the NFL. But he hopes to do so soon.
Jefferson stated that he believes Davante Adams, who was moved from the Packers to the Raiders during the offseason, currently deserves the title of league's top receiver. However, Jefferson hopes to have a season that establishes him as the top wide receiver in football this year.
According to Jefferson, I'll be the top receiver in the NFL after this season, Complex.com reported. "Davante Adams deserves it right now because of how crazy and dynamic he is on the field. I have to give it to him because of how crazy his route running is, but after this year, I'm very confident I'll win.
Jefferson feels that if he keeps improving in 2022, he will be the greatest in the league.
Jefferson recorded 1,400 receiving yards as a rookie in 2020, then topped that with 1,616 yards in Year 2.
Jefferson remarked, "I guess I have to do it three years in succession for everyone to believe so. "Some people don't think you deserve to be at the league's top after two years. Then there is me; I think I will surpass 1600 yards as well. After this year, I believe I'll be the best receiver.
