Eneko, Rahm and Kelley's second child, was born last week in Arizona. The couple spent four days in the hospital before going home last Sunday.
Rahm, who started the tournament at TPC Southwind with a 67, said, "It's been fascinating for me the previous four days.
Rahm claimed that he put in a lot of work in the weeks before the birth, despite possibly altering his preparation for the opening match in the playoffs. Then, just before leaving for Memphis, he squeezed in another 90 minutes of practice on Sunday.
It's nearly preferable to disconnect occasionally, he said.
Former world number one has had a tranquil year, with his lone triumph coming at the Mexico Open in late April. In his last five starts, he has only finished in the top 10 once, and his ranking has plummeted to sixth.
Rahm stated he would miss the newest member of his family for three weeks once the playoffs get underway. (Kepa, his 1-year-old son, is also his child.) He brightened up when he looked at a picture of his beaming wife and a new baby on Thursday before starting his round
"It's a lot easier for me to go out there and compete when I see that type of enjoyment," he remarked
Even though it will be 20 days until I see them, being outside and carrying out my duties makes me very happy...
