Jake Paul vs. Hasim Rahman
The company Most Valuable Promotions announced that the son of the former heavyweight champion did not respect the limits for weighing.
The long-awaited fight between Jake Paul vs. Hasim Rahman Jr. was canceled because the latter did not comply with the pre-fight weigh-in monitoring.
The company Most Valuable Promotions announced that Rahman signed an agreement to fight on August 6 at 200 pounds. However, the boxer sent a weight check to the New York State Athletic Commission, showing that he had only lost a pound since accepting the fight 24 days ago.
Rahman's team
The Commission announced that it would not sanction the fight at less than 205 pounds; Paul went ahead with his preparation to accept the war at that limit. However, Rahman's team assured that their fighter planned to present himself with 215 pounds at the official weigh-in and would not accept arriving with less weight.
Fight against Tommy Fury
Paul shared the promoter's statement on social media and lamented the cancellation of the fight against Tommy Fury and Hasim Rahman, whom he accused of "falling apart."
