Britain mentor Eddie Jones is preparing for a few cheeky digs from his old fighting accomplice Michael Cheika. Yet, he expects current Wallabies mentor Dave Rennie to adopt a clear strategy.
Jones and Cheika are companions, and they never squandered an opportunity to go after one another while Cheika was the mentor of the Wallabies.
It was dependably Jones who triumphed ultimately, with the 62-year-old partaking in an ideal 8-0 record against the Wallabies during his spell as England mentor.
Notwithstanding Cheika's reign as Wallabies mentor finishing in 2019, Jones is anticipating that the 55-year-old should spring up for particular thorns during the upcoming three-Test series between Australia and England, which begins in Perth on July 2.
"It was in every case great fun against Cheika," Jones said.
"Having that experience of playing against one another, realizing each other sensibly well, and afterward having a touch of fun on the worldwide stage … it indeed added a piece to the games.
"Dave (Rennie) is a highly regarded mentor; however, I don't think we'll have the same level of cooperation we had with China.
"I see Cheika's still on the TV looking exceptionally brilliant. I'm certain he will offer a few remarks along the line."
Wallabies focus Samu Kerevi uncovered for the current week that he has been in standard contact with Jones to get counsel about his game.
The connection comes from Kerevi being a piece of Japanese club Suntory Sungoliath, where Jones has held a drawn-out consultancy job.
Jones dismissed any ideas that his speaking with Kerevi was an irreconcilable situation in front of the three-Test series.
"I don't see any (contention)," Jones said.
"I'm a rugby trainer; I like to help players. I appreciate training players."
Britain winger Jonny May is uncertain for the principal Test in Perth after testing positive for COVID-19.
