Matt Currie desires to protect a hurricane season for club and nation by making his Scotland debut in Saturday's 'A' group match against Chile.
The 21-year-old Edinburgh place is present in South America in the public group's late spring visit after being recently called up to Gregor Townsend's crew.
"Things have gone rapidly for me," said Currie. "I marked my most memorable star contract this year, and being here with Scotland is magnificent.
"The call-up came out of the blue. I couldn't understand. A ton of young men take a stab at it because they need to go on the mid-year visits, yet I was zeroing in on doing great for Edinburgh.
"It's an open door I'm genuinely appreciative to have. It's the best players in the nation, and they're an extraordinary gathering of young men, so it's a valuable chance to learn and better myself.
"Assuming the open door comes to play for my nation, that is huge for myself and my loved ones. I'd very much want to be involved against Chile.
Playing rugby this season has been perfect, yet playing for Scotland is a gigantic objective of mine and something I'm truly taking a stab at."
After Saturday's down against Chile in Santiago, Scotland faces three sequential Tests against Argentina in July.
Currie is partaking in the opportunity to encounter new nations in the beginning phases of his rugby vocation.
"It's unimaginable," he said. "Rugby offers you incredible chances to travel. With Edinburgh, we were in Cape Town this season, and I've never been to South America before, so the opportunity to go to Chile and Argentina is immense.
"There are a ton of natural countenances from Edinburgh in the crew, and I know a couple of the other little fellows from playing under-20s. However, it's extraordinary getting to know the other young men I'm not as acquainted with."
With a World Cup not too far off in a little more than a year, Currie knows being essential for the Scotland camp over the following month is a decent chance to secure himself in Townsend's viewpoint.
"I've not overthought far ahead; I'm simply zeroing in on this late spring visit and attempting to get however much rugby as could reasonably be expected," he said. "Be that as it may, assuming I play my best rugby, no one can tell what could occur.
