Jett Lawrence similarly won the 250-meter race.
He had to rely on the tiebreaker to defeat Chase Sexton, making it a gruelling victory. Both riders finished in second place and won motos. In the 250 class, Jett Lawrence defeated his brother Hunter Lawrence in the same way to secure his fourth consecutive overall victory.
Sexton easily won the opening moto, extending his advantage to 15 seconds before entering a cruise control mode in the closing laps. Although Tomac was in the lead, it took him too long to get through Moto 1's Jason Anderson, and he eventually ran out of time.
The duel between Ken Roczen, the winner from the previous week, and Sexton and Tomac in Moto 2 was far more intense.
Tomac got some additional speed in the second race just beyond the halfway point, and he quickly took the lead. However, he was unable to dislodge his competitor entirely. Sexton maintained a slight lead, and he closed to within four seconds on the last lap, taking second place. On the tiebreaker, the rider with the best second moto result, Tomac, received the overall victory with 47 points to each other.
With his victory in the Moto 2 at High Point, Tomac has now won the second race four times.
Tomac said to MavTV's Jason Thomas, "Seems like I've got to memorise my lines in the first one, and today, that's what we did. We made a tiny change between the motos that also helped. I could put the power down the entire time because my body was transparent.
With his 28th victory overall, Tomac now holds exclusive possession of the third place.
Sexton remarked, "I generally struggled with how choppy the track sounded. "Eli was riding amazing, but I didn't feel as good as the first moto. He made a sound behind me. After I passed Kenny, I made a few blunders, and he passed me back. Eli passed me along with his sucking motion.
Third place overall went to Jason Anderson, who placed 3-5 in the motos, but it was also very close for that spot. As the clock ran out in Moto 2, he was chasing Aaron Plessinger for fifth place while Ryan Dungey was running third. Plessinger had just crashed and hurt his knee.
A podium finish for Dungey in his return to Pro Motocross competition was denied as Roczen nipped him at the line.
With his heroics on the final turn, Roczen finished fourth overall, scoring 7-3.
In Moto 2, Dungey came in fourth. He earned his second top-five overall finish of 2022 in fifth after finishing sixth in the opening race. Dungey earned the holeshot in Moto 2 and led the first few laps, so he still has something to hang his helmet on.
While making an aggressive pass on Christian Craig in Moto 1, Antonio Cairoli crashed. He was unable to finish Moto 2 because of a knee injury.

Although the second moto was one of the strongest competitions the series has produced this year, Jett Lawrence will be remembered as one of the 250 overall winners and will maintain his unblemished record of 2022.
After Hunter Lawrence won that race, Jett had to overcome a 10th-place start in Moto 1 to overtake his brother's lead. Levi Kitchen and Michael Mosiman made a few mistakes in Moto 1, allowing Jett to edge closer to the front but finished more than four seconds back.
Jett was, therefore, really driven when the second race came up.
Seth Hammaker took the lead on his home circuit in Moto 2, but he tucked his tyre and crashed out of the race early on. As a result, the Lawrence brothers received first and second, and it looked like we would finally get to watch how they competed head-to-head for the victory.
Not so fast: Justin Cooper temporarily stopped the duel before Jett could get around him and re-challenge Hunter. Jett and Hunter alternated the lead five times in the closing 20 minutes of Moto 2.
Jett held the largest lead of the race, two seconds, with two laps to go and the time remaining on the clock. Hunter mounted a valiant charge but fell short by 0.5 seconds.
After winning the competition, Jett commented, "I had to get him because if not, he would have gotten some points on me, so at least we tied." "That race was sick. Hunter jumped inside as soon as I took a moment to unwind. I have to say, even though I succeeded, that manoeuvre was rather vile.
Hunter maintained a 12-point lead over the field by winning the opening race as the two Lawrences gradually distanced themselves from the competition to win the championship as a family.
Hunter promised, "I'll get him back another day." We traded motorcycles today, which was excellent. With a 1 and 2, we hope to have given Dad the best Father's Day he could have because it's Father's Day.
With a 3-5 in the two motos, Jo Shimoda placed third overall.
Cooper came in fifth overall with an 8-3, followed by Mosiman in fourth with a 5-4.
