Euro 2022 kicks off Wednesday night as stadiums across England prepare to see many sold-out women's football matches for the first time.
Late in a year due to the coronavirus pandemic, the opening match of Euro 2022 takes place at Manchester United's 74,140-seat Old Trafford stadium when England's Lionesses take on Austria.
European Championship
Unlike last year's men's European Championship, the stadiums will be able to offer their maximum area capacity and, based on seat ticket sales; it could be one of the biggest tournaments in the history of women's football: the final, which takes place in the Wembley Stadium sold out after just one hour.
However, not a minute of Women's Euro 2022 should be missed after it was confirmed that all other matches would be available to watch live on TV.
