MADRID (AP) — Greece scored another victory and survived a brief scare
Giannis Antetokounmpo led Greece to a 90-69 victory against Estonia in the Group C championship game for both teams on Thursday. He scored 25 points in 19 minutes before departing the game in the middle of the third quarter due to an ankle injury.
Despite plainly hobbling after the game, Antetokounmpo could join in on the on-court celebration and shake hands with the Estonian players and coaches.
Antetokounmpo received ice and treatment, according to Greece coach Dimitrios Itoudis, who did not sound concerned.
Itoudis affirmed, "It's all good.
In his four games during the group stage, Antetokounmpo averaged 29.5 points on 58% shooting in 26-1/2 minutes. He was 9 for ten from the field.
Greece's Kostas Sloukas scored 11 goals (5-0).
Siim-Sander Vene scored 19 points to lead Estonia (1-4). Kristjan Kitsing scored 10, Janari Joesaar and Kerr Kriisa each had twelve.
GROUP C GREAT BRITAIN 56, ITALY 90
Also, in Milan, Great Britain's attempt to pull off an upset was foiled by an enormous closing run from Italy in a match that was played approximately two hours after Queen Elizabeth II's passing was revealed.
Italy (3-2) had 13 points from Luigi Datome, 11 from Nicolo Melli, and ten from Giampaolo Ricci, in addition to the 18 points scored by Simone Fontecchio.
Great Britain missed 16 of its final 17 shots throughout the final 12:43, as Italy finished the game on a 25-2 run.

With 21 points, Volodymyr Herun led Ukraine (3-2). Issuf Sanon had 11, Svi Mykhailiuk had 14, and Bogdan Bliznyuk had 16 points.
CZECH REPUBLIC 88, ISRAEL 77, GROUP D
Israel was eliminated at Prague as the Czech Republic (2-3) took the final slot in Round 16. (2-3).
For the Czechs, who will play Greece in the Round of 16, Vojtech Hruban scored 25 points, Jan Vesely contributed 16, and Tomas Satoransky added 14 points and 11 assists.
Israel was headed by Yam Madar (16 points). Rafael Menco and Deni Avdija got 12, while Tomar Ginat had 15.
POLAND 69, SERBIA 96
Serbia (5-0) maintained its undefeated record thanks to Nikola Jokic's 19 points in 18 minutes on 7-for-8 shooting.
Serbia, which made 67% of its shots, was led by Nikola Milutinov's 16 points, Marko Guduric's 15, Vasilije Micic's 12, Nikola Kalinic's 11, and Dejan Davidovac's final tally of 10.
For Poland (3-2), Lukasz Kolenda contributed 10 points, while Michal Michalak scored 17.
NETHERLANDS 67, FINLAND 88
With Lauri Markkanen scoring 22 points and Shawn Huff adding 14, Finland (3-2) breezed through the final game of the group stage.
With a 21-point performance for the Netherlands, Worthy De Jong concluded a successful tournament for him (0-5).
Germany vs. Montenegro, Spain vs. Lithuania, Slovenia vs. Belgium, and Turkey vs. France are the rounds of 16 matches.
SUNDAY: Serbia vs. Italy, Finland vs. Croatia, Ukraine vs. Poland, and Greece vs. the Czech Republic.
