Zeke Elliott
Dallas Cowboys running back Zeke Elliott will not participate in preseason games.
The Dallas Cowboys will face the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, and Seattle Seahawks in the preseason of the 2022 NFL campaign, but they will do so without running back Ezekiel Elliott.
Broncos
In an interview with Jon Machota from The Athletic, the Cowboys running back clarified that he does not plan to participate in any preseason games due to joint practices with the Broncos and Chargers.
"I have played football for 20 years. This is my seventh season, and I've seen a lot of football.
"It's a target. Win a Super Bowl, and get a gold jacket. There aren't many players in gold jackets who didn't rush for 10,000 yards," the Ohio State alum said.
Cowboys
The Dallas team modified its roster by adding linebacker Anthony Barr. The Cowboys announced the transaction in a press release, and according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the one-year deal will give the linebacker $3 million in compensation.
