The Browns are unbeaten for the first time
The Browns will do something Cleveland hasn't done since Bill Belichick was the head coach if they defeat the Jets on Sunday: 2-0 to start the year.
The Browns are unbeaten for the first time since 2004, and if they defeat the Jets, they will be 2-0 for the first time since 1993, when Bill Belichick made the surprising choice to replace Bernie Kosar with Vinny Testaverde at quarterback.
Belichick cut Kosar
With a 6-point advantage over a Jets club that struggled in Week 1, Cleveland has every right to think they will improve to 2-0.
Of course, a successful season is not guaranteed by a 2-0 start. The 1993 Browns had a 3-0 start and were 5-2 when Belichick cut Kosar, but the remainder of the season saw a precipitous slide for them as they concluded the season with a 7-9 record.
