Cardinals promoted cornerback Jace Whittaker
For Sunday's game against the Rams, the Cardinals promoted cornerback Jace Whittaker off the practice squad. The Cardinals have elevated Whittaker three times already in the last three weeks.
If the Cardinals want Whittaker to participate in games after Sunday, they must add him to the 53-man roster.
Andre Baccellia, a receiver, was also recalled by the Cardinals. Prior to being released earlier this week, he played in the first two games while listed among the 53 players on the roster.
Cardinals have elevated Baccellia in a regular fashion
As a result, this is the first time the Cardinals have elevated Baccellia in a regular fashion.
Last week in Las Vegas, Baccellia made his first two NFL catches, collecting 12 yards. He took part in 19 offensive plays.
The Cardinals' injured players at both positions
Whittaker was a key component of the defensive strategy last week, playing 45 defensive snaps while recording four tackles and one pass deflection.
On Sunday, the Cardinals' injured players at both positions will be back in action. After missing last week due to a back injury, receiver Andy Isabella will return, and cornerback Trayvon Mullen will make his Cardinals debut following a preseason trade. Due to the surgery, Mullen missed the first two weeks of school.
