GERVONTA DAVIS VS ROLANDO ROMERO WHERE HOW WHEN TO SEE IT
Gervonta Davis and Rolando Romero will finally face each other this Saturday, May 28, in a duel where they will be able to resolve their problems outside the ring; The fight comes with a genuine hype about the 'bad blood' that exists between the two boxers, and this has the plus that one of them will see him lose his undefeated record.
At stake will be the regular World Boxing Association (WBA – WBA) lightweight belt, and the fight will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, home of the NBA team, the Brooklyn Nets.
Davis and Romero were to meet in December. But Romero was the subject of a sexual assault case and was later removed from the fight and replaced by Mexican Isaac 'Pitbull' Cruz. The case was later dropped, clearing the way for Romero to land the war he had been in looking for.
Cruz offered " Tank " a more brutal fight than many expected. But when push came to shove, Davis showed the heart of a champion in the 12th and final round to win a unanimous decision.
"We're ready, and we've been to camp," Davis said in April's news conference. "It's not the first time we've prepared for 'Rolly.' We've seen how he gets nervous when the lights are on his face. We'll see how he reacts when everyone is cheering for him on fight night."
Romero stepped into the ring twice in 2021 and won twice in the distance over Avery Sparrow and Anthony Yigit. For Romero, it is the opportunity that he has been looking for to take off his career and that he does not intend to take advantage of.
