Filipe Albuquerque maintained the pressure by capturing the pole position in the DPi championship race of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship on Saturday at Road America.
The second-placed Wayne Taylor Racing No. 10 Acura qualified on pole with a 1-minute, 48.915-second lap over the 14-turn, 4.048-mile course, leaving it behind by 56 points with two races left.
Albuquerque will start the race for two hours and forty minutes and then pass the baton to teammate Ricky Taylor. "They provided me the ideal vehicle, and I felt terrific straight away from Turn 1," Albuquerque said.

Tom Blomqvist and Oliver Jarvis, the points leaders, will start third in the No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing Acura, behind Alex Lynn and Earl Bamber in the No. 02 Cadillac driven by Chip Ganassi Racing. This is Acura's fifth pole position of the year.
After a month-long injury layoff, Jack Hawksworth returned to the GTD Pro series and claimed the pole in his second race while co-driving the Vasser Sullivan No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 with Ben Barnicoat.
Vasser Sullivan came close to sweeping the GT qualifiers, but Robby Foley (driving the No. Frankie Montecalvo (driving the No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3) lost to the No. 96 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GTE for the GTD pole.

Malthe Jakobsen of LMP3 secured the pole position in the No. 33 car with a class-record lap of 1:59.434. JS P320 from Sean Creech Motorsport.
