According to Charles Goldman of USA TODAY Sports, head coach Andy Reid stated that Harrison Butker has an ankle sprain. He has minor edema in that area, so we'll just have to wait and see. We'll just have to wait and see.
On Sunday, Butker was carried off the field but was allowed to come back later in the game. He made all four extra-point attempts in addition to kicking a 54-yard field goal.
In reality, if Butker isn't available, Reid—a safety by trade—wouldn't be kicking on Thursday night. Matt Ammendola, a kicker for the Chiefs, is on the practice squad and might start the game.
Patrick Mahomes
On Sunday, however, Reid did kick five of his seven kickoffs for touchbacks and made one of his two extra points.
Additionally listed as limited players on the injury report were offensive tackle Orlando Brown (knee), receiver Justin Watson (chest), and wide JuJu Smith-Schuster (shoulder). Trey Smith, a guard, continued to have ankle problems.
Reid (hand) and quarterback Patrick Mahomes (left wrist) continued to play fully. Additionally, the report now includes linebacker Willie Gay (knee) as a full participant.
