Edge rusher for the Giants Kayvon Thibodeaux indicated on Thursday
Edge rusher for the Giants Kayvon Thibodeaux indicated on Thursday that he is confident in his ability to play on Sunday. The right medial collateral ligament he damaged on a cut block in the second preseason game prevented the No. 5 overall pick from playing in the season opener.
However, Thibodeaux has participated in some team drills this week despite being formally limited once more on Thursday.
According to Thibodeaux (through Jordan Raanan of ESPN), "getting close." I'm trying not to look too far, as I mentioned. What day is today? Thursday is today. Have Friday and Saturday still. I have a lot of faith in this Sunday.
In a phone conversation with himself, Thibodeaux stated that he is feeling "a lot better." With a brace on his right knee, he has practised.
We've made significant progress, Thibodeaux claimed. The decision will ultimately depend on how I feel on Friday and Saturday, but things are going well, and I'm optimistic.
Thibodeaux won't play unless he is unrestricted
With Azeez Ojulari out with a calf injury, the Giants were without either of their primary edge rushers in Tennessee. On Thursday, Ojulari was restricted.
