Coach Nathaniel Hackett
The Broncos' loss to Seattle three nights ago featured one of the most bizarre in-game coaching decisions we've recently witnessed. Will it stay in the changing area?
On Thursday, coach Nathaniel Hackett told reporters, "We've already moved on. "That's part of the overall situation. There will always be difficulty. Thus, this is a terrific preparation for our players whenever they play in significant games. The current season is unpredictable. There are both ups and downs. It all comes down to how you react to things. It's how you act after success. Even if you suddenly succeed and everyone praises you, there are still numerous areas in which you can improve. I believe that keeping in the exact middle of those two factors will allow the team to develop both positively and negatively. That, in my opinion, is what we have accomplished thus far.
That's a component of my job
Hackett can claim that they have advanced. The players may also do so. The question is whether the players criticize Hackett's decision to try a 64-yard field goal on fourth and five rather than letting Russ come up with a potential first down. It's the kind of thing that may make a player lose faith in a coach, which can manifest itself in various ways throughout the season.
The constant barrage of criticism from the outside world is all directed at Hackett. How does he muffle the sound?
That frequently occurs, according to Hackett. That's a component of my job. It is what accompanies it. Everyone is free to do as I do and embrace it. You simply don't pay attention; you continue your work and grind. Especially during a short week, that is essentially what we have been doing.
Yes, but some of the noise might have been prevented. Hackett committed an unintentional error, yet he still won't accept complete responsibility for it. The clamour would swiftly end if he just said that his proposal was terrible and should have been abandoned.
