Scotland and Ukraine are playing playoff Semifinals on Wednesday, filled with storylines with the hope of winning the World Cup.
The winner will face Wales on Sunday at 11 30 am for a berth in this winter's World cup.
Scotland didn't show up in a men's World Cup since its group-stage exit in 1998, which was the nation's eighth tournament. However, it feels improvement after the appearance at EURO 2020.
Ukraine seemed to be better at its recent tournaments than before, as Blue and Yellow couldn't qualify for the World Cup since 2006 when it last reached the quarterfinal stage.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine led to the late start of this playoff match.
Scotland captain Andrew Robertson says, "We have commiseration for the people of Ukraine. Everyone at the Scottish FA and this team have stood behind them and supported them. What we have seen there is extremely unpleasant. We have to get away from these thoughts for around 90 - 120 minutes and get ready for the challenge and emotions Ukraine will encounter in the match."
Man City's Oleksandr Zinchenko and West Ham's Andriy Yarmolenko will lead Ukraine. Other common names may be Everton's Vitaliy Mykolenko, Real Madrid's Andriy Lunin, and Atalanta's Ruslan Malinovskyi.
Scotland has many Premier League representation, guided by Liverpool star Leeds' Liam Cooper, Andrew Robertson, Southampton's Che Adams, Aston Villa's John McGinn and Stuart Armstrong, and Manchester United's Scott McTominay. David Marshall and former Celtic goalkeepers Craig Gordon are part of the group to ensure that the team against them does not score a single goal.
