Watkins Glen International will host the most extensive lineup in eight years for the third round of the Michelin Endurance Cup of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Series.

The Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen on Sunday (10:40 a.m. ET, Peacock, 2–5 p.m. ET, USA) has 49 cars entered in all five divisions (the first entire field of IMSA categories since the Twelve Hours of Sebring). Since 53 vehicles lined up for the 2014 race, this is the most IMSA has had on the 3.4-mile, 11-turn road track.

Jimmie Johnson will compete in the No. 48 Ally Cadillac alongside Mike Rockenfeller and Kamui Kobayashi for his first IMSA appearance since the Rolex 24 at Daytona (which is running the four-race Endurance Cup of Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen and Michelin Road Atlanta).

Every division is in the midst of a close championship race. Still, in the top DPi class, Oliver Jarvis and Tom Blomqvist's No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-05 are in the lead by 10 points over Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque's No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Acura. Chip Ganassi Racing drives the third and fourth-placed Cadillacs in the standings.

Although Jarvis and Blomqvist haven't won a race since winning the Rolex 24, the car has placed second three times in a row.
