Positive after the defeat, Ons Jabeur leaves Wimbledon 2022 happy: "I'm proud of my results; I don't stop believing in myself."

Elena Rybakina
Elena Rybakina knew how to turn the final round and make her debut as a champion against the world number two, who was the favorite to do so. A painful experience that Jabeur takes adds to the following opportunities that come his way. Ons explains in a press conference the feelings she leaves Wimbledon and her aspirations in the coming months of competition.
Loss to Elena
"This is tennis; there is only one winner. It is a great first experience for me. I'll want to move forward to playing the next one. I am sure I will learn a lot from this match. It's been two positive weeks for me. I haven't played my tennis in the second and third sets. She started being more aggressive; she put more pressure on me. It's all of a sudden; I haven't been able to find a solution for that. Today she deserved to win. I've been beating the first set, and, for some reason, I'm down in the second. I tried to win my serve in the beginning.
I felt that she played better because she made fewer mistakes. I was hoping for something better. It's frustrating to play against someone who serves so well that he doesn't give you a chance to break his serve. I told myself: 'This is not over; she trusted you.' I even told myself she loved me during the match (laughs)."
