Josh McDaniels
There is just one person in charge in New England, regardless of who calls the plays: Josh McDaniels, Matt Patricia, Joe Judge, or someone else. The same as always.
Bill Belichick
Bill Belichick, the coach, has emphasized that he is in charge in New England.
Belichick told reporters on Sunday, "We have a lot of people on both sides of the ball, offensively and defensively; everybody contributes." "I am ultimately accountable for anything that occurs on the field. I'll take responsibility for that in the end. But our staff is made up of many excellent individuals. Many diverse ideas originate from many fields or through the fusion of concepts. We'll wait and see.

Belichick is accountable
Normally, if you were to discuss a situation like that, you would speak with everyone on staff and ask, "Okay, first third-and-one here's what we practised, what are we thinking?" "Anybody and everybody" is slightly too open-ended, especially for a group that still adheres to the maxim "perform your job."
That's exactly what he means, too. Anyone whose responsibility is to provide thoughts and ideas is eligible to submit them. Good luck figuring out who they might be.
But ultimately, Belichick is accountable. But we already knew that the new boss would be the same as the old boss, even with McDaniels gone.
