Nick Saban benched the Eagles
When both teams practiced together on Wednesday, a couple of former Alabama quarterbacks in roughly comparable career situations met up. Additionally, Nick Saban benched Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts in favor of Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, but Hurts put on a show.

According to Reuben Franks of NBC Sports Philadelphia, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said on Thursday that Hurts' practice from the previous Wednesday was his best since Sirianni became the team's head coach in 2021.
It was incredible what he was doing with the ball and how quickly he could move through reads and progressions while still getting it to where it needed to be, according to Sirianni.
A.J. Brown
That's excellent news for an offense that last year changed its attention to the run and that, given the acquisition of receiver A.J. Brown, would likely like to pass the ball more. Hurts is also pleased with the news. As they wait to see if Hurts develops into a franchise quarterback, the Eagles have had a quiet wandering eye at quarterback.
Great if he does. If he doesn't, their gaze will continue subtly straying.
