David Fizdale is talking with the Utah Jazz — yet not for their open head training position.
All things being equal, Fizdale is conversing with the Jazz about front office work, reports Ian Begley of SNY.TV
The association here is that Fizdale is close with Jazz minority proprietor Dwyane Wade, back when Fizdale was a Heat partner mentor. Fizdale was the lead trainer of the Grizzlies and Knicks and spent last season as a lead colleague on Frank Vogel's seat with the Lakers.
A variety of voices and viewpoints in a front office is something to be thankful for, and Fizdale could carry that to a Jazz power structure with Danny Ainge on the highest point of the stepping stool with Justin Zanik as the head supervisor.
It's something special to look at as the Jazz thinks about their hierarchical construction and reshaping their program this offseason.
