Gladney's death was first made public by Eagles wide receiver Jalen Reagor, who played with Gladney at TCU.
"Ain't any more than that I should take, man dang," Reagor posted on Twitter after losing his brother, best friend, and right-hand guy. "R.I.P. Jeff Gladney, please watch me, brother."
According to Gladney's agent, Brian Overstreet of the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram, Gladney died in an automobile accident early Monday morning.
"At even the most difficult time, we ask for prayers and privacy for the family," Overstreet stated.
Gladney was a Viking's first-round pick in 2020 who started all but one game in his rookie season. Following an assault charge, he was fired before the 2021 season and didn't play at all last season, but he was declared not guilty this summer and signed with the Cardinals.
