DARLANDON, S.C. The caller's name appears on the phone screen as driver Joey Logano receives a call from his wife, Brittany: My Hot Ass Wife.
This is one of the interesting facts that "Race for the Championship" viewers learned about in the first episode of the new USA Network NASCAR series on Thursday.
According to Logano, Brittany's nickname has been a reality since the couple's early marriage, and who laughed at the incident on Saturday at Darlington Raceway.
Since we've been married for the past seven or eight years, Logano's wife's contact information has been "My Hot Ass Wife," and that's exactly what it is. "Now that I use Siri to contact her, it's funny because when I say, "Call my hot ass wife," my kids in the back ask, "Are you calling mommy?" It's quite humorous.
"There's something I believe has to be adjusted, but I enjoy it, and it's amusing now. We're just having fun with it right now. It simply shows how realistic everything is that I didn't give it a second thought when it was on my screen while they were filming. They did a wonderful job of capturing what life is, such as how we live it in terms of how we train for races at home and work. There wasn't much editing done to it.
Hudson, Jameson, and Emilia are the three kids that belong to the Logano's.
The Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway on Sunday will mark the start of the Cup championship for 16 drivers, including Logano (6 p.m. ET on USA Network).
Thursdays at 10 p.m. E.T., USA will air the "Race for the Championship" series.
