Kyle Pitts
Kyle Pitts, a tight end with the Falcons, has not contributed significantly statistically to Atlanta's offense through two weeks.
Ironically, in each of the Falcons' opening two games, he finished with two receptions for 19 yards. However, he was targeted seven times in Week 1. Only three passes were made to him by quarterback Marcus Mariota in Week 2.
After Sunday's defeat to the Rams, head coach Arthur Smith joked when questioned about Pitts' performance, "It's not fantasy football." The youthful tight end doesn't appear to be concerned about the statistics either.
It is early. The season is lengthy. According to Pitts and Michael Rothstein of ESPN, there are 17 games. Could continue. I'm not frustrated, therefore.
Pitts said that he hasn't been openly complaining to his teammates or coaches about his performance.
The season is lengthy
I won't be screaming at the coaches, she said. Pitts declared, "I'm not going to Marcus and screaming. "What is is what is. The season is rather long.
With 68 catches for 1,026 yards, Pitts led the Falcons last season. He only scored one touchdown, though.
Sunday afternoon's game against the Seahawks
Drake London, a rookie receiver, has been Mariota's most successful target thus far this season. He has 13 receptions for 160 yards and a touchdown.
Sunday afternoon's game against the Seahawks will present Atlanta with its next opportunity to give Pitts more playing time.
