LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Sparks have terminated lead trainer and senior supervisor Derek Fisher the group declared.
Fisher assumed control over the group in 2019 and turned into the GM a year after. He completed his profession with a 54-46 record as a mentor.
Right-hand Fred Williams will take over as break lead trainer.
"After an exhaustive assessment of the condition of our group, the Sparks and GM/Head Coach Derek Fisher have consented to head out in different directions," overseeing accomplice Eric Holoman said. "For our possession bunch, I need to thank Derek for his endeavours and commitments to the Sparks establishment. We hope everything works out for him to push ahead. I have full trust in Fred Williams to venture into the job of break lead trainer, bringing an abundance of involvement driving WNBA groups."
The Sparks missed the end of the season games last season, interestingly beginning around 2011, and reinforced their program by adding All-Star Liz Cambage in the offseason. They had a troublesome timetable to begin the season with nine of their initial 12 games out and about and are 5-7.
Fisher brought home five championships while playing with the Lakers and filled in as the Knicks' mentor. The Sparks dominated one season finished match in Fisher's residency in Los Angeles.
