Premier League and Ralf Rangnick's
When the Erik ten Hag era begins, there will be plenty of scrutiny from Manchester United in pre-season.
United had a poor campaign in 2021/22, finishing sixth in the Premier League, and Ralf Rangnick's spell as caretaker manager did not work out as expected.
Ten Hag's preparations for the new season were not helped by uncertainty over the future of Cristiano Ronaldo, who would have asked to leave the club if a suitable offer was made. Ronaldo was permitted to miss the start of pre-season training with United.

The Ten Hag tour cast contains much of the first-team group, although Phil Jones and Brandon Williams will not travel to Thailand due to injury concerns.
Tahith Chong, James Garner, and Ethan Laird, who returned from loan spells, are on the traveling list, as are academy prospects Alejandro Garnacho, Zidane Iqbal, and Charlie Savage.
Andreas Pereira, who will join Fulham, will not travel.
Is Cristiano Ronaldo on Manchester United's pre-season tour?
Ronaldo was not in United's 31-man squad named on July 8.
The Portugal star has reportedly asked to leave the club, with Chelsea, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich among those interested.
Ronaldo has been out of training recently after being released by United for family reasons.
"Cristiano Ronaldo will not be at the Thailand exit party as he has been given extra time to deal with a family issue," United said.
