In the preseason game against the Lions
After Sunday's preseason game against the Lions, the Steelers' quarterback search might be over.
Pittsburgh's starting quarterback
Pittsburgh's starting quarterback will likely be either Mitchell Trubisky or first-round pick Kenny Pickett, according to head coach Mike Tomlin. Mason Rudolph has theoretically been mentioned throughout the offseason and training camp, but it doesn't seem like he's been a real candidate.
Rudolph responded, "Yes, I am," when asked if he was proud of how he competed this week.
He said, "I am proud," according to Teresa Varley of the team website. "I want to put the final touches on it because we still have a few practices left and a game on Sunday. I look forward to whatever the Lord has in store for me.
Although it didn't happen, Rudolph said he "would have appreciated [taking] more first-team reps.
"I believe I maximised the few opportunities I did get to practise, and when you play quarterback, that is all you can do."
There have been some whispers that the Steelers are looking to sell Rudolph, so his future with the organization may be doubtful. But he claimed that he is not focusing on them.

According to Rudolph, the coaching staff is the only thing that matters now (SteelersDepot.com). "[A trade] might be true, but I have no power over it. I don't make any assumptions about that. I'm interested in the opinions of my teammates and coaches. Any other information is irrelevant.
Rudolph has made 17 appearances
Rudolph has made 17 appearances with ten starts since being chosen in the third round of the 2018 draught. In his five seasons as a starter, he has a record of 5-4-1 and has completed 61.5 percent of his throws for 2,366 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
