Panthers
rookie quarterback Matt Corral dropped out of the team last
week because of a family tragedy, and head coach Matt Rhule told him that he
should take all the time he requires before coming back to work.
Once he
does, Matt Corral will have much on his plate. Aggressive coordinator Ben
McAdoo last week updated the progress of the third-round pick at a press
conference. He identified that it is "a different game up here" than
it was played in college times.
"True,
it looks like he's trying to learn a different language that he has not
spoken," Ben McAdoo told Jonathan M. Alexander of the Charlotte Observer.
"Now he is learning the path we follow to perform the things. We have much
of the guilt and visual and verbal indications that he has to learn. This won't
be that much easy for him. It will take time. It would consider a challenge.
Being here doesn't mean that I am here to create ease for him. I am going to
make trouble for him so that when he receives a chance to play and participate
in the sports, he is fully prepared to move.
Ben McAdoo's
remarks propose that offering significant competition for Sam Darnold ahead of
the season 2022 could be an extension for Matt Coral, which could mean that if
someone other than Sam Darnold starts this year, the team will have to obtain an
external alternative.
