The Panthers manipulated the trade for Deshaun Watson.
They were attached to the list of achievable landing points for other experienced quarterbacks, but Thursday was the last day of the season, just the way it was started.
At a press conference, Matt Rhule, the Head coach, discussed that "if today the season gets started, Sam Darnold would be our quarterback." Obviously, it doesn't begin today, but there has been no indication of moving towards a trade for Jimmy Garoppolo, Baker Mayfield, or someone else who would surely replace Sam Darnold as the no. 1 quarterback in Carolina.
Matt Rhule said that it is "day and night" how long way Sam Darnold has passed since he appeared along with the team in a trade with the Jets last year, but the advancement is not sufficient for Matt Rhule to say that the team will surely stay tuned for the next few weeks. He informed to surely take an action if the impact is in a major enhancement." Still, He concentrated on what he, offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo and Sam Darnold have to achieve in the upcoming months.
Matt Rhule said, "Sam Darnold's work is to tackle the upcoming five weeks, make sure and prove himself to Wofford more capable than what he is currently right now."
"He told me yesterday how great he feels in terms of offense. He has to go to training camp and improve, and he has got to achieve it with the pads on with people trying to break him down. You turn your eyes towards the quarterback world from high school by college now; it is too much 7-on-7. A lot of people can throw it that is what you do when people are making efforts to run after you. So this is his way. Ben McAdoo knows it's our work as a coach; our work is not to think, 'hey, we are in need to go and achieve this, go achieve that. 'This is the work of [General Manager] Scott [Fitter].' Our work is to receive Sam Darnold as much prepared as possible."
Suppose the Panthers enter into the season with Sam Darnold as their beginner. In that case, there will be a great deal of stress on all participants to show that the team made the correct decision to rush it back with a similar quarterback that remained unsuccessful in inspiring anyone in Carolina during his first year.
