Denver coach Nathaniel Hackett responded to a question
There isn't a bell cow running back on the Broncos. They might come in every game.
Denver coach Nathaniel Hackett responded to a question from reporters on Friday regarding how he intends to divide the workload between running backs Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon (pictured). This response will aggravate some fantasy football owners.
Hackett replied, "You can't say. "You always want to roll with the hot hand; I've always firmly believed. You want to keep feeding the one guy once he gets going. They're going to complement one other so well, in my opinion. I believe that you ought to keep feeding them if they're both hungry. It also applies to wide receivers. If one player starts to move, you must pass the ball to him. As we're saying, if someone gets too hot, you must keep feeding them. Every game will likely be distinct, in my opinion.
Hackett described Williams and Gordon's skill sets
Hackett declared, "I think we're in a perfect spot with those two men. "Those two men are mighty. They can employ both inside and outside gap strategies. They can recover the ball in the backfield. Importantly, they can both offer protection. I believe that adding [Mike] Boone and his running prowess to the mix with two men like that is a good idea. As we witnessed, he had a few strong runs in our most recent game. He caught the ball and made some outstanding plays out of the backfield. There are three capable players, and we can't wait to pass the ball to them.
There is only one ball left in the end. Russell Wilson will also chuck it down the field quite a bit. It will be interesting to see how frequently the Broncos run and who catches the ball when they do.
Williams and Gordon evenly split the carries last year with 203 each. We'll first see how Hackett uses them in three nights.
