Friday saw a punter change for the Dolphins.
The team revealed that Sterling Hofrichter had been acquired. Tommy Heatherly was released to make way for Hofrichter on the 90-man roster.
The Falcons selected Hofrichter in the seventh round of the 2020 draught, and in his rookie campaign, he averaged 42.5 yards per kick. He joined the Buccaneers after being released last summer. He was on the practice squad for most of the year, but he made two appearances and averaged 37.8 yards on six punts.
In April, Thomas Morstead was acquired by the Dolphins. The veteran Saints punter, who split last season between the Jets and Falcons, will face off against Hofrichter in Miami for the job this year.
