Mike Evans
Mike Evans, a wide receiver with the Buccaneers, lost his appeal against a one-game suspension today, and he is upset about it.
Deryk Gilmore, Evans' agent, issued a statement in which he expressed disagreement with the decision to suspend Evans and noted that other players had performed worse while remaining on the field.
When there are multiple arguments that players committed more heinous offences, such as punching, kicking, and choking players, without receiving a penalty, the statement says, "We are dissatisfied that the league sustained a suspension. "In addition, Evans had already been dismissed from the game, which is itself a penalty, but the league decided to punish him even more. Although this is disappointing, we will abide by the league's ruling.
Evans must comply with the league's ruling after losing his appeal; whether he likes it or not, he will miss Sunday's game against the Packers.
