On the Patriots' defence, Mike Vrabel and Richard Seymour played together for eight seasons. Vrabel is happy that Seymour will be honored this weekend by the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
When they first met, when Vrabel was a four-year veteran and Seymour was a 21-year-old who had just come as a first-round draught selection, Vrabel, now the Titans' head coach, remarked that he was pleased with Seymour from the minute they first met.
He was pretty mature, said Vrabel. He just walked in and had incredible length, build, height, and maturity. Didn't act like a teenager who was 20 or 21. Having the privilege of playing next to him was helpful to my growth there as an outside linebacker. He was intense, a terrific teammate, and fun to play with.
While teammates on the Patriots dynasty for eight years, Vrabel and Seymour earned three Super Bowl titles.
