Brady's final touchdown pass of the 2021–22 season
It was incredibly expensive for Tom Brady to come out of retirement because his legacy became considerably less noteworthy.
Brady's final touchdown pass of the 2021–22 season, thrown to receiver Mike Evans as the Buccaneers overcame a 27–3 deficit against the Rams in the divisional round, fetched $129,658 at sale during the Lelands Summer Classic Auction.
That same ball fetched more than $518,000 at auction before Brady's retirement. Even though "buyer beware" would seem to apply in the circumstances like sports retirements and unretirement, that buyer was given a pass.
Even so, the fan who caught the ball made out well. However, it wasn't as nice as it may have been if Brady had simply stayed in retirement.
Evans threw the ball into the stands, and the fan did indeed catch it. He frequently does that, as we all know.
