Group 1: Croatia's victory on Thursday saw them displace rival Denmark from the top spot, and they will reach the finals if they beat Austria in their last game. France, the winner of the second edition of the UEFA Nations League in 2021, overtook Austria in last place in the group thanks to their victory.
Group 2: Spain had its run of 22 games without a loss at home to Switzerland cut short and is now two points behind neighbors Portugal ahead of Tuesday's encounter in Braga. The Swiss are two points clear of the Czech Republic in the fight for last place.
Group 3: Ádám Szalai's spectacular back-heel goal allowed Hungary to defeat Germany and remain top of the group with one game to go, in which they will play against Italy for a place in the final phase in a match that promises to be spectacular this Monday in Budapest. Roberto Mancini's team defeated England 1-0, which is relegated to League B.
Group 4: The Netherlands is the team with the most points in League A, three more than second-placed Belgium, and the 'Red Devils' are the only team that can prevent them from reaching the final phase when the two meet in the sixth working day. Wales sit three points behind Poland in last place going into their final meeting.
League A consists of 16 teams, divided into four groups four. The teams play their group rivals at home in June and September 2022. The top four League A groups will progress to the final knockout stage in June 2023.

Wales midfielder Jonny Williams scored the first goal of the new competition, but his team lost away to Poland. Two goals from Andreas Cornelius gave Denmark victory in France, and England was beaten by a penalty converted by Dominik Szoboszlai in Budapest. On the other hand, Memphis Depay scored two goals in the success of the Netherlands in Belgium.
