The complaint of four organizations for the words of Nelson Piquet has reached the Federal District of Justice of Brazil, which gives Piquet 15 days to explain the statements he made about Lewis Hamilton, as reported by Globo.
These complaints come after Piquet apologized for having referred to Lewis Hamilton with the word 'neguinho'. The Brazilian champion assures that he never used that word offensively and explained that he used it to refer to Hamilton as 'the guy' or 'the person. However, he is now facing complaints from various organizations, in addition to the comment about Hamilton.
Educator Centro Santo Dias, Alianca Nacional LGBTI+ and the Brazilian Association of Homotranssafe Families seek compensation for the Afro-American population for "reparation for the collective moral damage and social damage inflicted on the Afro-American population, the LGBTQIA+ community and the Brazilian people in general ".
In the document presented, they highlight that the "insulting, humiliating and humiliating crimes, of a racist and homophobic nature, publicly vociferous by the accused" violate the norms that protect the honour and dignity of the person, as well as those that protect the black population against racism.
