NFLPA sues the NFL
By not appealing the suspension issued by Judge Sue L. Robinson, the union showed that it would accept the ban but also asked the NFL not to appeal.
NFL has appealed, and a longer suspension seems likely, people are wondering if a.) the NFLPA would sue the NFL if they think the rest is too long and b.) a lawsuit would lead to a stay of the suspension and allow Watson to play in Week 1 of the regular season against the Panthers.
While Brady and Elliott
While Brady and Elliott ended up losing their legal battles and having to serve their suspensions, Brady was able to play the entire 2015 season before giving up and sitting out the first four games of the 2016 season. Elliott served his six-game suspension until the 2017 season finale and was out for weeks 10 to 15.
