During this week, the type of the NFL Network, the Chiefs left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. lifted eyebrows mentioning that he was "very self-assured" that the parties would reach an extended contract. In the non-appearance of an offer, Brown also threatened to be taken out of the season.  

The Chiefs coach, Andy Reid, looked inattentive.

Andy Reid said to John Dixon, "Hi, listen, there are things that are said". "Would not have said half of it."

He said, "Very self-assured," while Brown was on camera. "Very self-assured. Specifically, just based on the things that have existed in the division, kind of players, kind of defensive end has been conducted, and all that type of the things. Entering this season with a backup left tackle is not the right time. So, I'm very confident that the Chiefs of Kansas City will achieve it."

The franchise tag was used on Brown by the Chiefs to provide him with an extended offer until July 15, or Brown had to play under the .6 16.66 million tag for one year of 2022. 

What the Chiefs laid down to get Brown was that they want to keep him beyond 2022 on the team as long as Brown wishes to stay in Kansas City for an extended time period.

Andy Reid said, "My point is that you only have to make an effort to attempt what you have to do to make it correct and try to be as sincere as possible." "We are speechless about it. We make an effort to achieve all the things along with the person we are indulged with – and take it as a secret with the earth. This is how the business runs.   

 "The owner Clark Hunt believes that our boys are always very obedient and willful, which in my consideration is the best way to carry on. Equitable to the player, fair to the team. Get ready. And this could be completed with a great working attachment. "

The sides haven't had long to negotiate as Brown just currently appointed a new agent. Reid assured that the Brown's representation, Michael Portner, and General Manager Brett Veach of the Delta Sports Group are discussing.

Andy Reid said, "We like Orlando here." "He is a great person. He is an outstanding professional; he's fully grown around it. In my opinion, he has received excellent counselling. So we have just got to work by it.

"I haven't recognized anything that will be going to happen in the path there. Only having the people working jointly, all the things are kept openly — like any other chance you have to achieve offers with great players."

Sixteen regular-season games were begun by Brown for the Chiefs, losing a game due to a calf injury, and was victorious in his third one after the other Pro Bowl.
