Chargers' security The workload for Derwin James Jr. is increasing as the start of the season approaches.
According to Eric Smith of the club website, James took part in team exercises on Monday, an uptick from his engagement the previous week.
James participated in walk-throughs during a 14-practice
James only participated in walk-throughs during a 14-practice "hold-in" while ongoing contract extension talks. The four-year, $76.4 million deal that the All-Pro signed on Wednesday made him the highest-paid safety in the NFL.
As he made his way back, he joined each of the drills.
