Following consecutive PGA Tour victories, Tony Finau is getting closer to regaining a spot in the top 10 world rankings.
After winning the Rocket Mortgage Classic on Sunday, Finau, who reached as high as No. 9 in 2018, rose from No. 16 to No. 13, placing him just behind Jordan Spieth and in front of Will Zalatoris.
Cameron Young, a former Wake Forest teammate of Zalatoris, has moved up to No. 17 following his eighth top-3 result. Two top-3 finishes were earned by the PGA Tour rookie, who finished T-2 in Detroit. One of those finishes was a solo second at The Open.
Sean Crocker, a former standout for USC, won his maiden title on the DP World Tour and rose from position 241 to position 133.
Phil Mickelson has dropped three positions to No. 99, almost out of the top 100, and Tiger Woods is currently No. 1,062, sandwiched between Heinrich Bruiners of South Africa and Zhang Huilin of China. Before winning the PGA Championship last year, Mickelson had dropped as low as No. 116.
